Chinese Herbs

Herbal medicine has been used around for over 2,000 years in China. It's another major division of Traditional Oriental Medicine. An herb is a plant or plant part used for its scent, flavor or therapeutic properties. Herbal medicine products are that people take to improve their health. In conjunction with a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan, herbal formulas can treat illness, maintain wellness and enhance logevity. They are sold as tablets, capsules, powders, teas, extracts, and fresh or dried plants. Chinese herbal medicine can help the body's natural healing process and restore balance.

Patch Treatment (Includes Belly Button Therapy)

I’m now offering a technique of applying herbs directly to the body. These herbs are held onto the acupuncture point with a patch. The herbs healing essence flows through the affected point to guide your chi flow and balance the Yin and Yang of your body.

This method helps you to stay healthy and increases energy!

Cupping involves the placement of glass or bamboo cups over a certain part of the body to help relieve stagnation and increase circulation. It also removes bad Qi from your body. It is commonly used for a range of conditions from back pain to common colds.

Gua Sha

Gua sha (Chinese: 刮痧; pinyin: guā shā), meaning "scraping sha-bruises", is a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which the skin is scraped to produce light bruising. Practitioners believe gua sha releases unhealthy elements from injured areas and stimulates blood flow and healing.

Cindy is friendly, helpful, and truly concerned about making you feel better.  I have struggled with stomach bloating, distention, and headaches for the past year.  I've gone to two gastrointerologists, had numerous tests to figure out the problem, and yet no results.  I came to Cindy feeling broken down and hopeless.  In just a few visits I began to feel better.  My bloating has gone down considerably, I no longer have headaches, and I feel more energy.  I recommend seeing Cindy!

I had a good experience with Cindy's acupuncture.  Upon returning from international travel, I experienced considerable stomach pain, including at times feeling heated and at other times shaking from cold.  Cindy created a mixture of herbs and also provided acupuncture services.  I have no idea what was in the herbs.  I do know that within a few days my stomach  symptoms vanished and I began eating again.  I would highly recommend Cindy.

Acupressure, Tui Na, Bodywork

Tui Na is a type of Chinese Medicine that is a non-invasive, manipulative therapy that is akin to acupressure, massage, and physical adjustment. It is used to improve the function of the muscles, tendons, bones, joints and internal organs. Points of Origin focuses on indirect massage that can relieve pain in one part of your body by massaging points in a related part of your body. A skilled practitioner employs a wide array of techniques to stimulate specific acupuncture points, release muscle tension, decrease pain, and stimulate organ function. Tui Na is also a commonly used technique for treating children. Receiving Tui Na from a licensed acupuncturist is ideal because of their greater knowledge of Chinese medicine and their ability to make a proper diagnosis and treatment plan for the individual.
